Today: your daily brief
What each part of Today shows — the line under the greeting, your headline numbers, Today's brief and its buttons, workspaces, goals, the panels you pin — and the setup checklist new accounts see instead.
TL;DR: Today is the agent's first page. It shows when the engine last ran and whether Amazon is connected, then Sales, Ad spend, TACoS and Profit for the range you pick, then Today's brief: what needs you and what ran, including the engine's 30-day report. Below are your goals and up to four panels you pin by asking the agent. New accounts see a setup checklist instead.
Today is the first page you see at agent.autron.ai, and Today in the sidebar takes you back. It covers the workspace you have selected, one seller in one marketplace, and reads top to bottom: what is true, what needs you, then the detail. The message box at the bottom sends straight to the agent, which answers in Ask agent beside the page. See Using the chat. The agent inside the older dashboard has no Today.
The range and the line under the greeting
The date button at the top right sets the range for your numbers and panels: Last 7 days, Last 30 days (the default), Last 90 days, Last month, Last quarter, or two days picked on the calendar. Ranges are whole days and never include today, which Amazon is still reporting.
Under the greeting is one line of facts: Engine ran and when, Synced for the first two weeks after your history landed, Amazon connected, and Managing N of M products. A fact turns amber or red when it needs you, such as an engine silent for more than 36 hours or Amazon Ads connection expired.
If the Amazon Ads connection is down, a red block leads the page: Autron can't see or change your ads right now. Until you reconnect there is no bidding, no sync and no reports, and your campaigns keep running on Amazon as they were. Press Reconnect Amazon. See Amazon needs to be reconnected.
Your numbers
Four tiles show Sales, Ad spend, TACoS and Profit, each with its change against the period of the same length before. A † on Profit means it is an estimate, because some products have no costs, and the note under the tiles says how many. See Profitability and product costs. On a range picked on the calendar, Profit is not available yet.
On a preset range, Top products lists your five best sellers for the range, each linking to Goals.
Today's brief
The brief lists what needs you and what happened, and its heading counts how many rows need you. Each row has a label:
| Label | The row | Its buttons |
|---|---|---|
| Blocking | Amazon Ads needs reconnecting, here or in another workspace | Reconnect, or Switch & reconnect |
| Decision | A product's ACoS cap sits well under its estimated break-even on a Grow sales goal, so the engine mostly cuts bids | Review opens the goal. It's intentional records the cap as deliberate, and the row stays away until your target or costs change |
| To-do | Products missing costs, or "N changes you made go back to Autron on (day)" | Add costs opens the agent. View opens Goals filtered to Ending this week |
| Report | A routine that ran in the last 48 hours, or the engine report | View report on a routine; the engine report has no button |
| Needs a look | A routine run that failed or timed out | See what happened |
The engine report reads Engine, last 30 days: with the bids optimized and the keywords, targets and campaigns added. It always covers the last 30 days, whatever range you pick, and appears once the engine has done something. The changes going back to Autron are exceptions. A row from another workspace names it, and Review switches there first. On a quiet day the brief reads Nothing needs you — quiet day.
Workspaces and goals
With more than one workspace, a Workspaces line says how many need you and how many are quiet, with sales across them. Show all opens a table of each workspace's needs, 30-day sales, connection and engine, and clicking a row switches to it.
The Goals line counts products on track, needing a look and off, with View all to open Goals. If the engine is stopped it says The ad engine is off — nothing is bidding. On the Free and Agent plans the line explains what goals do instead, with Upgrade to Pro and Ask about goals.
Panels
Ad sales vs ACoS is built in: a daily chart of ad-attributed sales against ACoS for your range. Below it you can pin up to four panels of your own, each a line or bar chart or up to four number tiles. They are yours alone; teammates pin their own.
Panels are made in chat. Ask the agent ("pin a chart of clicks and CPC by week") or press Ask the agent on the Add a panel slot. It shows a preview, and Pin to Today puts it on the page. Profit and profit margin work only as tiles over one of the five preset ranges. A panel re-runs each time you open Today; only the question is saved.
Each panel's ⋮ menu offers Move up, Move down, Give it its own range (or Follow the page's range), Show by day, week or month for a chart, Ask the agent to change it, and Unpin. Unpin takes it off Today but keeps it saved, so the agent can pin it again. The built-in chart works the same way and doesn't count toward your four.
The setup checklist
Until Autron is running, Setup · N of M done replaces the line under the greeting, and the brief becomes a checklist headed Getting to “Autron is running”, each step marked Done, Next or Waiting:
- Amazon connected.
- Structural findings, a few minutes after Amazon Advertising connects: Open findings.
- Performance audit, once your history has synced: Open the audit.
- Selling Partner, optional: Connect.
- Product costs: Add costs.
- With the ad engine, Propose my first goals, where the agent proposes products and targets and you approve each one. On Free and Agent plans, Start the ad engine opens Goals.
With the ad engine, the checklist shows until your first goal exists. On Free and Agent plans it shows while your history syncs and for 30 days after your latest audit. Anything blocking or needing a decision still appears above it.
