Sellerboard vs Autron: an FBA profit dashboard vs an AI agent that runs your Amazon ads

Sellerboard vs Autron, compared honestly. Sellerboard is an affordable Amazon FBA profit-analytics tool with bolt-on PPC automation. Autron is an AI agent plus an autonomous ad engine, focused on Amazon and priced on results. Here's who each fits.

Verdict: Sellerboard is a good, cheap profit-analytics dashboard for Amazon FBA, and its PPC automation is a fair starter. But ads are a side module, not the product, and there's no AI agent. If you want an agent you can talk to plus ad automation priced on results, Autron fits better.

Sellerboard vs Autron: an FBA profit dashboard vs an AI agent that runs your Amazon ads

Most "Sellerboard vs Autron" comparisons line the two up feature by feature, which hides the real decision. These tools are built for different jobs. Sellerboard is, first and foremost, a profit-analytics dashboard for Amazon FBA sellers: it connects to Seller Central, subtracts every fee, COGS, refund and ad cost, and shows you what you actually netted by product, period and marketplace. PPC automation is a module bolted onto that. Autron is the other way around: advertising is the whole point, delivered as an AI agent you can talk to plus an autonomous engine that runs the daily ad work, priced on the sales it produces. The question is not "which has more features." It is "do I mainly want to see my profit clearly and dabble in ad automation, or do I want a system that actually runs my Amazon advertising."

What Sellerboard is

Sellerboard is an accurate, affordable profit-analytics tool for Amazon sellers. It connects to Seller Central via API and pulls sales, fees, advertising spend and refunds in near real time, then presents a live P&L broken down by product, period and marketplace. The dashboard surfaces the KPIs sellers care about: units, sales, ad cost, FBA and FBM shipping, Amazon fees, cost of goods, and gross and net profit. Around that core it stacks a useful FBA toolkit: follow-up email campaigns for reviews, FBA reimbursement hunting for lost or damaged inventory, stock and reorder planning, and COGS tracking by batch.

The PPC piece sits inside that analytics product. With Smart Portfolios you set a target ACOS or profit margin, and Sellerboard discovers keywords, adjusts bids daily at the keyword level, harvests winning search terms into manual campaigns, and filters out poor performers as negatives, all under one shared daily budget. You can run it in manual mode (apply the recommendations yourself) or autopilot (it applies them for you), with fast, moderate, slow or custom bidding speeds. For a seller who lives in the profit dashboard and wants ad automation that comes along for the ride, that is a reasonable package at a low price.

Where Sellerboard is genuinely strong

We are not going to pretend otherwise. For the right buyer, Sellerboard is an easy recommendation:

  • Accurate, real profit. It nets out every fee, referral, storage charge, refund and ad cost to show true profit after expenses. That is the thing it is best at, and it is genuinely good at it.
  • Cheap. Plans run roughly $19 to $79/mo by order volume, with every feature in every tier. For a starting or budget-conscious seller, that price is hard to argue with.
  • All-in-one FBA toolkit. Reimbursements, follow-up emails, inventory and reorder planning, COGS by batch. A lot of seller housekeeping in one place.
  • Strong EU VAT handling. Frequently called out as better than most competitors, which matters a great deal for European sellers.
  • PPC automation that exists and works. Goal-based bid adjustment and keyword harvesting are real, included in every plan, and fine as a first step into automation.
  • A 30-day free trial, no card. Low-friction to try, which is part of why it is so widely adopted.

Where Autron goes further

Autron starts from a different premise: profit reporting is table stakes, and the place most sellers actually lose money and time is the daily advertising work and the inability to interrogate their own account. Autron delivers two layers aimed squarely at that.

Autron Agent is the part Sellerboard has no answer for. It is a conversational AI that sits on your full ads-and-seller data and works inside the tools you already use, including Claude and ChatGPT. Ask it why TACoS moved on four ASINs last week and it answers from your real numbers, joining ad data to sales, search-query rank and inventory. Tell it to pause your worst performers or rebuild a campaign and, with your permission, it acts. Every write action is permission-gated and logged, so you stay in control. Sellerboard gives you a dashboard and a P&L to read; Autron gives you an analyst you can talk to that also does the work. There is no conversational or agentic product in Sellerboard today. There is also a free Agent tier (5 credits a day) and a $50/mo plan with the first month free, so trying the agentic layer costs nothing to start.

Autron Pro is the autonomous engine behind it. Set a goal, a target ACoS or TACoS, and Pro runs the daily tactics itself: bid optimization on a roughly three-hour cadence, placement adjustments, dayparting, negative-keyword harvesting, and single-keyword campaign creation from your auto-campaign winners. Sellerboard's Smart Portfolios adjust bids daily and harvest keywords, which is real; Pro runs a tighter loop across more of the advertising surface, and across Sponsored Products, Brands and Display rather than leaning on Sponsored Products alone.

Two more differences matter for a seller deciding where ad budget goes:

  • It is priced on results, not a flat tool fee. Autron Pro is $99/mo plus a commission on the ad sales it generates (0% on your first $5k of monthly ad sales, then a small declining percentage), and Autron Agent is $50/mo. Sellerboard's fee is lower and flat, but it is a fee for software whether your ads do well or badly. Autron's sales-based piece only grows when your ad-driven sales do.
  • It reasons over your whole Amazon account. Both tools read Seller Central. But Autron's engine and agent reason over Sponsored Products, Brands and Display alongside sales-and-traffic, Search Query Performance and inventory together, so ad decisions are made with sales context and search-rank trends, not ad metrics in isolation.

The honest tradeoffs

No tool wins every case.

Sellerboard's limits. Advertising is a side module, not the product. The PPC automation is real but, as reviewers note, blunt for nuanced account management, and it leans on Sponsored Products rather than running the full ad surface. There is no organic-versus-PPC revenue split and limited real conversion-rate visibility, which constrains how deeply you can reason about ad performance. And there is no conversational or agentic product: you read dashboards, you do not ask your data a question and have it act. If your problem is "run my Amazon ads well," Sellerboard is a profit tool that also nudges bids, not an advertising system.

Autron's limits. We are not a profit-accounting suite. Sellerboard's P&L depth, reimbursement hunting, EU VAT handling and follow-up emails are genuinely better than anything we ship, and many sellers will want exactly those. We are also more expensive once Pro's commission kicks in, so for a small account that mostly wants clean profit numbers and a touch of bid automation, Sellerboard is the cheaper, sensible buy. We are Amazon-focused, Seller Central only, no Vendor Central or DSP. And the Agent is newer than Sellerboard's long-established analytics product, so if track record on profit reporting is your deciding factor, that is a fair point against us.

When to choose which

Choose Sellerboard if your first need is accurate profit tracking and FBA housekeeping at a low monthly price, if EU VAT accuracy matters to you, if reimbursements and follow-up emails are part of your workflow, or if you want simple goal-based bid automation as a bonus rather than the main event.

Choose Autron if advertising is the job to be done: you would rather set a goal and let an autonomous engine run bids, placements, dayparting and negative-keyword harvesting across Sponsored Products, Brands and Display without babysitting it, if you would rather pay on the ad sales generated than on a flat tool fee, or if you want a conversational agent sitting on your full ads-and-seller data that can both explain the account and act on it.

The honest through-line: Sellerboard is the better buy if you mainly want to see your profit clearly and cheaply, with light ad automation along for the ride. Many sellers will happily run it for the P&L. But if your money and time are going into Amazon advertising and you want an AI agent plus automation that does the daily work and is priced on what it produces, that is the half of the problem Autron is built for, and the two can sit side by side.

If that sounds right, you can start a free trial of Autron Pro, try Autron Agent free to start, or run a free PPC audit first to see where your spend is leaking.
