# Understanding Autron Agent credits and pricing

How Autron Agent credits work: what a reply costs, which lookups are free, the monthly packs and one-time top-ups, auto-refill, what happens when you run out, and where to manage billing.

**TL;DR:** In the app, each reply spends credits according to how much work it does and the model it runs on, and a quick lookup is free. Each call Claude or ChatGPT makes to Autron costs one credit. The free plan adds 5 credits a day, up to 30 held. Paid packs give 200 to 10,000 credits a month, and Pro includes 500.

> **Note**
>
> **On Pro, 500 credits are included every month**, because the agent comes with the plan rather than being bought separately.

Autron Agent is billed in **credits**. You pick a monthly pack that matches your usage, and the app shows your live balance as you work.

## What a reply costs

- **In the app**, a reply costs credits according to how much it reads and writes and the model it runs on. A long conversation or a multi-step analysis costs more than a short question. Each model in the picker shows a cost tier from **$** to **$$$$**; see [Using the chat](https://autron.ai/help/using-the-chat).
- **Quick lookups in the app are free**, on every plan. A reply costs nothing when it only reads your data, finishes in two steps or fewer, and reads little. A question that turns into real analysis is charged as usual.
- **Routines, and replies by email, Slack or WhatsApp**, are always charged, lookups included.
- **Claude and ChatGPT** do their thinking on your own subscription with them, so Autron charges per call instead: **one credit for each call** they make to Autron, reads included. A call Autron refuses costs nothing.
- **Dictation** is charged by the length of the recording.
- **Stop** charges for the steps that finished before you pressed it.

The ring beside the send arrow shows the credits you have left. Hover over it to see the number and when they refill or reset. There is no cost shown per message.

## The packs at a glance

| **Pack** | **Credits / month** | **Price (USD)** | **Best for** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Free | 5 / day, max 30 held | $0 | Trying the agent before committing |
| Agent 200 | 200 | $50 | A few focused sessions per week |
| Agent 1,000 | 1,000 | $220 | Daily use, several products |
| Agent 2,500 | 2,500 | $500 | Deep analysis, regular automation |
| Agent 5,000 | 5,000 | $900 | Agency / multi-seller workloads |
| Agent 10,000 | 10,000 | $1,700 | Heavy automation, large catalogs |

Every paid pack includes the model picker, with every model in it, and every agent feature.

## The free plan

Every account starts on the free plan: **5 credits a day, holding up to 30**. Credits are added at midnight UTC, and no payment method is needed. The free plan has no model picker; it answers on GPT-6 Luna, and moves a long conversation up to GPT-6.1 Sol by itself, which costs more per reply.

## When you run out

- **In the chat**, the message box stops taking new messages and a banner says why. On the free plan your credits refill the next day, and the banner offers **Upgrade to Agent →**. On a paid plan, an admin can buy credits or move to a larger pack from the banner, and anyone else is asked to have an admin do it.
- **Routines** keep running on a reserve of 20% of your monthly allowance. Once that is used up, each run is marked **Failed** with **Out of credits**, and the routine's channels tell you once. Runs start again by themselves when credits are back.
- **Claude and ChatGPT** get a message that the account is out of credits, which they pass on to you.

## Auto-refill

On a paid plan, an admin can turn on **Auto-refill** on the Subscription card at **Settings → Billing**. When you run out, it buys 100 credits for $25 on your card on file, so nothing stops. Turn the switch off to stop it.

## Upgrading mid-period

Move to a larger pack any time from **Settings → Billing → Upgrade pack**:

- **The new allowance is available immediately.** Going from Agent 200 to Agent 1,000 mid-month gives you the full 1,000 credits straight away.
- **You only pay the prorated difference.** Stripe works out the unused part of your current pack and charges only the difference.

Downgrades work the same way: Stripe credits the unused part against your next invoice.

## Buy a one-time top-up

A **top-up** adds credits without changing your monthly pack or renewal date. It is a single charge to your card on file, and the credits land at once.

| **Credits** | **Price (USD)** |
| --- | --- |
| 100 | $25 |
| 200 | $50 |
| 400 | $100 |

- **They never expire.**
- **They're used after your monthly plan credits.**
- **They're paused while you're unsubscribed**, and switch back on when you resubscribe.

Buy one from **Buy credits** on the Credits card at **Settings → Billing**, or from the out-of-credits banner in chat.

## Canceling your subscription

Press **Cancel subscription** at **Settings → Billing**. Before you confirm, the dialog tells you whether your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for or ends now, with a prorated credit for the unused time.

- **The Agent plan on its own** runs to the end of the period. Credits stay available until then, no further charges are made, and the account then drops back to the free plan. **Resubscribe** before that date undoes the cancellation.
- **The Agent plan alongside classic Autron Pro** is removed at once, with a prorated credit on your next invoice. Pro carries on unchanged.
- **Pro** stops the engine optimising your ads and ends your included credits, at the end of the period or at once depending on your subscription. Your campaigns stay exactly as they are; nothing is paused or deleted.

> **Heads up**
>
> **Cancel in Autron, not in the billing portal.** Cancelling from Stripe's billing portal ends the paid plan straight away, not at the end of the period.

## If a payment fails

If your card is declined at renewal, Stripe keeps retrying the payment, and a **Payment failed** banner in the app offers **Update payment method →**. You keep access while it retries. If the retries fail, the account drops to the free plan, and you can resubscribe from **Settings → Billing** at any time.

## Where to manage your subscription

Billing lives at [agent.autron.ai/settings/billing](https://agent.autron.ai/settings/billing), which only company admins can open:

- **Credits card**: your balance, split into plan and top-up credits when you hold both, the date credits reset or refill, **Buy credits** and **Upgrade pack**.
- **Subscription card**: your plan, next invoice or cancellation date, **Auto-refill**, and the buttons to cancel or resubscribe.
- **Open billing portal**: Stripe's portal, to update your payment method or download invoices and receipts.
